The Salesforce Marketing Cloud plugin allows you, as a Botmaker user, to connect your SFMC account with our platform to send Botmaker templates from Salesforce Marketing Cloud using Journeys.

What is the feature about?

With the Salesforce Marketing Cloud plugin, you can schedule notifications in campaigns for specific users using Journeys. The plugin itself is free, but charges will be incurred when creating campaigns, as explained in this document.

How to configure and use the plugin?

To configure and use the plugin, follow the following steps:

Step 1:

Sign in to the Salesforce Marketing Cloud platform. In the top bar, select Journey Builder > Journey Builder.

Step 2:

Once step 1 is complete, you will access a screen where all your journeys are listed. There, click on the button at the top right: " Create new Journey".

Step 3:

Choose Multi-Step Journey and click Create.

Step 4:

Once you are on this new Journey, you will see, within the tab ACTIVITIES a second tab with the title Messages. Drag the icon to our Journey to add it.

It is important to configure a Data Extension previously, otherwise, you will not be able to use our application.

Step 5:

Now, by clicking on the Botmaker integration journey , in the left section, you can view the shipping configuration. The fields to complete are:

• Campaign : you can select one previously created on the platform or leave it empty so that the campaign is added to the “General Notifications”
• WhatsApp channel : Select the WhatsApp channel to send notifications
• Notification name : Assigns a name to identify the campaign in Botmaker. Its name will be made up of what you choose plus an id provided by Marketing Cloud.
• Contact number variable : indicates from which data the customer contacts will be taken
• WhatsApp Template : indicates the template that will be sent.

You can preview how your template will look like on the screen shown below. You can also assign values ​​to the variables and the buttons that the template may contain.

When the fields are complete, click the finish button and your campaign is ready.

Step 6:

Finally, you will be able to view the details of the campaign created in our campaigns section.
