What is the Salesforce Marketing Cloud feature?

Salesforce Marketing Cloud is a Salesforce digital marketing platform that includes email marketing, social media marketing, mobile marketing, online advertising, and marketing automation tools. Marketing Cloud allows companies to create highly effective marketing campaigns and measure their real-time impact. Along these lines, Botmaker developed the integration of Salesforce Marketing Cloud, which consists of a plugin that allows you to connect your SFMC account with our platform.

What are the advantages of this feature?


Salesforce Marketing Cloud allows you to schedule notifications in campaigns for specific users using Journeys. To use the feature, you need an account from Salesforce Marketing Cloud. Remember that all Salesforce Marketing Cloud accounts are paid.


How to perform the integration?


To perform the integration, you must go to Configuration>Integrations>CRMs (https://go.botmaker.com/#/integrations/crms) and click Salesforce Marketing Cloud. Then click Connect to start the connection tutorial.

Choose Next to begin the integration.


Step 1 : Sign in to Salesforce Marketing Cloud


In the upper right corner of the screen, get the MID and paste it into the text field, as shown in the image:

Step 2: Create a new package


This step consists of several substeps


2.a) Enter the setup sectionfrom the profile menu (top right).

2.b) On the Salesforce Marketing Cloud platform, go to Apps > Installed packages.

Click the button new in the upper right corner of the screen to create a new package

2.c) Create the package with a name to help you identify it and add an optional description.

Step 3 : Configure the new package


Once the package is created, in its detail , under the " Components" section, you will see a button with the legend " Add component". Clicking will open a creation menu

Step 4: Generate URL integration


First, select the type of component you want to create. Select Journey Builder Activity and press Next.

Now, add the Activity properties. Add a name and description (optional). The category field must be completed with the " Messages" option. The field endpoint URL must be completed with the URL copied from the last step of the integration tutorial, as seen on the following screen:

Ready! You can now use the Botmaker app within a new Journey to schedule the deliveries you want.
