Note: We recommend using this integration together with the Multiple Bots and Flow Manager features to avoid replying to emails automatically. To do so, go to Menu > Chatbots and create a Chatbot for the Email Channel, which you can turn on or off depending on whether you want to send automatic responses or not.

To integrate your email with Botmaker, go to the platform: Settings > Channels.

Find Email and click Connect.

Now, let’s go through the integration step by step:

Step 1

After clicking Connect, the tutorial will start, guiding you through the process of integrating a Gmail or another email account.
You’ll see the following screen, where you should click + Connect Email.

Next, select the email provider you want to connect to Botmaker and click Next.

Step 2

In this step-by-step example, we’ll integrate a Gmail account. You’ll see the following screen:

Fill out the form with your Gmail account details.Make sure two-step verification is enabled and IMAP is turned on.

Next, you need to create an App Password.

When selecting the app, choose the “Other” option and enter a name for identification. Then click Generate.

An alphanumeric password will be generated. Copy it and paste it into the form in the tutorial.

Once you’ve copied the app password, click Done. The following will appear:

After completing all the required fields in the tutorial form, click Connect.

Once the integration is successfully completed, you’ll see the following screen:

Click Finish, and you’ll find the integration details under Menu > Channels and Integrations > Channels.

Adding an account from a provider other than Gmail

If you’d like to add another email address from a different provider (for example, Outlook or Yahoo), click + Connect another email.
The tutorial will start again so you can complete the connection.
