How to improve your bot in an intent chatbot?

This document details recommendations for improving the comprehension of your intent chatbot through suggested platform terms.

In this article, you will find information on how to improve the bot by using the Recommendations feature of the platform.

Estimated Reading Time: 05 minutes

The suggestions ( non-understood terms) are analyzed by the platform's artificial intelligence and grouped by card similarity.

The Recommendations feature prevents you from reading hundreds or thousands of chat sessions and gives you suggestions of new intents based on the most commonly unanswered messages on the platform.

ATTENTION: After identifying the suggestions, you can perform two types of processes.

  • Create a new intent.
  • Feed an existing intent adding new triggers.

This will improve the bot’s behavior and understanding.

Also, we have added a tutorial below to give you more details:

  • Step 1 – Access to menu, suggestions (Menu>Suggestions)

On this screen, you can see the cards with terms that have not been understood by the bot.

  • Step 2 – Visualize which terms were not understood and the number of intents and occurrences with those terms.

In these recommendation cards, we have:

  • Intents – name recommended by the platform for this new intent
  • Occurrences – number of times the terms or sentences were mentioned by users.
  • Analysis of words: the terms are grouped with specific mentions of incidents.

In the case of the analysis, you can click on the “eye” icon available on the right side to see the chats where that term was used.

  • Step 3 – Resolve the cards with the suggested terms.

To solve a card, it’s necessary to create an intent that includes the term or add the terms as triggers to existing intents. By doing this, these terms will be understood next time they are mentioned by users.

If you don’t remember how to create an intent, read the article “How to create an intent”

After creating the intent, click on “delete card,” and to avoid showing it next time.
