Creating and managing tags allows you to organize your conversations more efficiently, categorizing them according to your needs. In the sections below, you will find more details about this tool.

Tags in conversations

Tags are identification types that are placed on each user for classification. On the Botmaker platform, they can be:

  • Conversation topics that the user has historically covered in the chat. They are added automatically when it comes to topics that the chatbot understands.
  • Topics not understood in case agents need to tag topics not understood by the chatbot in a specific chat. The process can be done manually by clicking the “edit” button (pencil icon).

Create a new tag

By accessing the section Conversations>Chats from the Menu (https://go.botmaker.com/#/chats/), you can create tags (or manage them) by clicking the icon of the pencil shown on the right of the screen. Click+, enter the tag name, and click Add tag.

Tag assignment

Enter the tag name and click on "create a new tag". To save it, click on "save". It can be assigned manually, as described above, or automatically to a user through an intent. The intent must have the action "set variable":

In “set variable,” choose the tag name and set it to “true.

With the tags option, optimize your conversations and their organization. Plus, get metrics to analyze your users' communication motives.
