BotPage is your bot's web page: a dedicated address (URL) where anyone can chat with your bot right in their browser, without you having to integrate it with a channel like WhatsApp or Webchat. It's handy for sharing your bot with clients, running a demo, or asking a teammate to test it, all by sending a single link.

You can:

• Copy your bot's link and share it however you like (email, chat, social media).
• Open your bot's page in a new tab to test it exactly as someone else will see it.
• Get the link from Bot Designer or from the My Bots section on the home page.
• Customize your bot's URL and change its access settings.

How to get your BotPage link

There are two ways to get your bot's link: from Bot Designer (when you're already editing the bot) or from the My Bots section on the home page (when you want to share any of your bots without opening it). Both lead to the same URL, so pick whichever is more convenient based on where you are.

From Bot Designer

Step 1: Find the Chatbot Page button

Go to Bot Designer and open the bot you want to share. In the top bar, next to the Publish and Test buttons, you'll see the Chatbot Page button, shown with an external link icon (a square with an arrow).

When you position yourself on the button, two options will appear. “Copy Chatbot URL” and “Go to Chatbot Page”

Step 2: Open your BotPage

Click Chatbot Page. Your BotPage will open in a new browser tab, so you won't lose what you were editing in Bot Designer. That's exactly what the button's external link icon tells you: the page opens outside the editor. Use this option when you want to test the bot yourself and see exactly what people who receive the link will see.

“Copy chatbot URL” will allow you to share the URL with anyone. By default it is a public access that allows you to interact with the chatbot. You will be able to change the settings in the Settings gear.

If you want to share the link from here, copy the address shown in that new tab's address bar: that's your BotPage URL. You can also copy it directly from My Bots (Step 3), without opening the page.

Note: by default, your BotPage has public access: anyone who has the link can chat with your bot. Before sharing it, make sure the bot is ready for others to use. If you want to change this setting, follow Step 4.

From the home page

Step 3: Copy or open the link from My Bots

This option is useful when you want to share a bot quickly without opening it for editing. On the Botmaker home page, go to the My Bots section. There you'll see a list of all your bots.

Hover your mouse over the title of the bot you want to share. Three options will appear:

• Edit in Botdesigner: takes you straight to editing that bot in Bot Designer.
• Open Bot: opens that bot's BotPage in a new tab so you can test it.
• Copy link: copies the BotPage URL so you can share it some other way.

How to customize your bot's URL and access

When you create a bot, the platform automatically generates a unique URL for it. That address usually isn't very descriptive, so you may want to change it to one that's easier to remember or that represents your brand, especially if you'll be sharing it with clients.

Step 4: Open the chatbot page settings

Click the gear icon (Settings) and go to Identity and preferences → Chatbot page. This section is where you manage everything related to your BotPage: its URL and its access settings.

Note: URLs must be unique across the entire platform. If the address you chose is already in use by another bot, you won't be able to save it and will need to pick a different one.

What do people see when they open your BotPage?

When someone opens the link, they land on your bot's page and can chat with it just like with a chatbot: they type, get replies, and move through the flows you set up.

In the menu on the left, the person will see the different sessions they've had with your bot through that link. That way, if they come back, they can pick up or review their previous conversations.

Important considerations

• Public access by default: anyone with the link can chat with your bot. If the bot is still in development or handles sensitive information, review the access settings in Identity and preferences → Chatbot page before sharing it.
• Unique URL: no two bots can have the same URL. If the one you want is already taken, you'll need to choose another.
• Same link from both entry points: the Chatbot Page button in Bot Designer and the options in My Bots lead to the same URL. There's no need to share both.
• Sessions per person: the history in the left menu shows that person's conversations on that link; each person only sees their own sessions.
