How to configure Bot identity and preferences?

In this article you will learn how to configure the Bot's identity and preferences for Generative operation.

On the left side of the screen is the toolbar with the main tools for Chatbot design.

Inside it you will find the main settings of the Bot. If you have the version with Generative Artificial Intelligence, you can also configure the identity of the bot.

To learn how to activate the version with Generative Artificial Intelligence, see the article “What is Bot Designer with AI Agents?”.

General:

In the “General” tab you can choose the name of the chatbot, the icon or image that identifies the bot, language and voice (the voice will be used by default in audio generations with artificial intelligence).

Bot page:

In the “Bot Page” tab, you can configure the settings to enable the chatbot page.

You can configure the URL (it must be unique), a brief description, and choose whether the bot page can be viewed by anyone or only by users with access to the Botmaker platform.

To learn more about the configuration and functionality of “BotPage” you can consult the article “How to use BotPage?”.

Identity:

Within the “Identity” tab you can configure the objective and communication choices, which apply to all messages generated by Generative Artificial Intelligence.

Note that these settings do not apply to the “AI Agent” block to avoid contradictions in the instructions provided.

Bot Objective

Here you define the main objective of your bot. This indication will be considered by the generative AI when responding to the user.

General conversation preferences

These allow you to give a specific instruction to the Generative Artificial Intelligence. By checking this box, you confirm that you have given the instruction to the Generative Artificial Intelligence “Do not give opinions” for its generation.

Tone

Through sliders, this allows you to tell the Generative Artificial Intelligence in what style to generate the communication. If you move the slider to “Casual”, it is therefore less formal and generates more casual communication.

Note that this setting impacts all blocks that use Generative AI.
